This is a great intervention program for girls in the school. The lessons need to be adapted to the time frame of an actual school day as there just is not enough time to do multiple activities in one session, but the girls LOVED this group. I will use it over and over. I also enjoyed all of the printable materials and resources. It is a well thought out program and it is a great package.

I am a school counselor at an elementary school grade K-5. I have several friendship/social skills groups and this book is amazing! Love that it has a cd to print the papers you will need. Get this book for your resources its a must have!

I wanted something that would make running groups more fun for me and for my students, but I found this book is not always going to be a click, print, and run to your group. Some of the activities require a little prep, or materials you might not find readily available. So always be a day ahead of yourself. My students were always excited to see what we doing for the week!

I had bought the Girls in Real Life Situations book for 6th grade and up and LOVED it. I decided to buy this one for younger grades. There are not as many exercises/activities in this one, but there are a lot of handouts , such as, word finds. This book is still handy and I have used a lot of the activities inside of it. Both of these books have been, hands down, the best group activity books I have ever purchased. They are realistic in regards to time, materials, finances, etc.

The lessons seemed unoriginal to me. I wasn’t impressed.

I purchased this book to help facilitate a fifth grade girls group who were struggling with friendship issues, aggressiveness, and cliques. I use some of the activities in the book to help start conversation, but I found some of the activities to be shallow and geared toward a younger crowd (perhaps third or fourth grade). However, the book is categorized into different aspects of development and does offer some good suggestions to build cohesiveness within the group.

Highly recommended for counseling girl groups. The girls responded very well and look forward to attending girls group weekly. The book has wonderful ideas and tips for parents as well. It was a great buy.

I was introduced to this product by another professional. It had just the activities I was looking for when working with girls. I would highly recommend it.

I have been baking my way through this book (10 down, 28 to go), and not only are the pies visually stunning, but their taste is above par. I HIGHLY recommend this book. I also HIGHLY recommend going to see the musical "Waitress" on Broadway or the national tour! It was up against Hamilton at the Tony awards, but I believe any other year it would have easily won best musical, best original score (Sara Bareilles), best Actress (Jessie Mueller), and definitely best supporting actor (Christopher Fitzgerald).

It's a beautiful book & an amazing way to remember a fantastic show.My Mr. took me to see the show in March.I have a need based relationship with the kitchen. I can provide nutritious, tasty meals but I'm not really inspired or imaginative & often lack vision. All my recipe searches include the words easy.Some of the recipies are above my paygrade & have ingredients I never knew existed since I don't really bake (unless you count box taco shells or can biscuits). I was intimidated.I just made the pie on pg. 106... guys, it's amazing! Like... cant wait til I get off work today, amazing. Like... one of my kids doesn't like sweet potatoes so there's more for me, amazing. Like... thinner slices will make it last longer, amazing. It's confidence on a plate! Now for all the rest of the recipes.

Where do I begin! It's like I've waited for this since I first watched Waitress in 2007. It's amazing to see Jenna in the perspective different than who she was in the movie/broadway. It's a Jenna reflecting on her life before, life with her daughter and having the relationship she had with her mother. It's a wiser Jenna who has been through hardships and came out the other side using her incredible talent. For any Waitress fan buy this, for any baker who doesn't know what Waitress is this is your introduction.

This book has some really great ideas for pie irons. I love the full color picture of each recipe. I was hoping for some actual pie iron cooking tips, but this was all about putting the food in the pie iron and not how to actually cook it. I had never used a pie iron before and the idea is quite simple. So after a little bit of trial and error we made some great meals.

I am new to pie-iron cooking and was looking for a recipe book to get my feet wet. This book fit the bill perfectly. This is a high quality book with beautiful photos and easy-to-follow recipes. I realize there are hundreds of recipes on the internet, but it's really nice to have a bound physical book that I can take along on a camping trip. The small size of this book is perfect for that. I look forward to trying all the tasty-looking recipes.

If you're new to camping you'll love it!

It was only by happenstance that I finished this book on the anniversary date of the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370. Like many throughout the world, I tried to understand just how something so seemingly impossible could happen: the complete and utter disappearance of a jumbo jet when, as the authors point out, there is virtually nothing on the planet that gives off any kind of electronic or energy ‘signature’ that can’t be found, down to the battery of a wristwatch worn by someone in a remote forest.Richard Belzer, George Noory and David Wayne have not written the first book dealing with this very strange tragedy, but they may have written the best analysis of what is known, what has been kept from the public, what has been either mishandled or purposely subverted, what role the mainstream and alternative media have played and the chilling implications of the event.Well written and researched (as far as possible), the authors do an excellent job in tackling the various theories established so far and in providing a succinct summary of these theories (nine in all), as well as establishing which of them can easily be dismissed and which not so easily.I won’t go into any detail; people need to read it and think about it themselves. I know that having read this and considering both the most likely causes I take from the book, as well as the highly disturbing implications of those most plausible causes, things seem a bit darker now. I think many others may react similarly if they read it.

Great Read! Richard Belzer -and other writers on this project- did an excellent job presenting multiple "theories" about the missing Malaysian Airlines flight 370. Right from the start of reporting that a plane "went missing" in this part of the world I became suspicious about the entire incident; with today's advanced radar technology, etc. I knew that something nefarious -at the least just simply odd- was in the making. Without giving away any additional information that the writers present in this book- I do not want to steal any future reader's experience-I will end my remarks by commenting that I have been left with a sad and angry opinion about "the powers that be." After perusing the book's conclusions and end notesI highlighted multiple items to be further researched and considered; I also said a silent prayer for the families and friends of each of those 239 people on board the ill-fated flight 370. I am left with the certainty that, "Someone is hiding something."

I read this book as one with very little knowledge about the disappearance of flight MH370. It was an eye-opener and explained things in a manner that the layman could understand.Although the authors present many facts (and a chapter is devoted to each of the main theories about the plane's disappearance), what the authors do not do is advance one theory in particular as the answer. In other words, they allow the reader to draw whatever conclusions the reader wishes.My only complaint is that the book tends to repeat itself numerous times. I found myself on occasion thinking, "I get it already. This was said several times before."Aside form that though, I'd recommend this for anyone who is looking for a primer on the subject without the spin.

This was a good book for both facts and perspective.

I had ordered a set of this book for one of my 7th grade teachers. She liked it for her reluctant readers. I hadn't read it until now and I couldn't agree more with her assessment. Students from 5th to HS will connect with this book. Very realistic in its portrayal of the pressure young athletes endure from parents and coaches. Highly recommend this book. The ending will take your breath away.

I liked how the author set every little detail up. Their wasn't a word in this book that was strictly a filler. The story itself was really fun and a quick read. I flew through it in a weekend, but how he set up the ending of the story by small details at the beginning of it is truly a remarkable feat. If you're not familiar with Deuker writing style, he follows a character from when they're younger and how things shape them to the person they become. I'm always a fan of his, but this is my favorite

As a former language arts teacher, I highly recommend this novel to middle school boys who claim they hate to read. This book reached my sports minded students and non-readers with its honesty, action, surprises, and relevance. Carl Deuker, you did the impossible. My congratulations on an outstanding novel!
